Provence

Evocative and sun-soaked Provence for the most part means Rose and holidays, though there are some very serious reds produced here now too. Bandol is the most famous of these, home to southern France’s most enduring wines. The region’s rich history means that a wide variety of grapes are planted here, though grenache, in common with the Southern Rhone, is the most planted by some distance. Owing to the fact it is warm and dry, this is one of France’s easiest regions in which to farm organically.
