Sainte-Croix-du-Mont is an AOC for sweet white wine from the Bordeaux. It is located on the right bank of the Garonne river, in the Entre-Deux-Mers subregion of Bordeaux and extends over 500 hectares (1,200 acres). Varieties grown here are Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle.

Geographically it's excellently located for producing sweet wines as many of the vineyards grow next to rivers and are therefore likely to be affected by the "noble rot" Botrytis cinerea fungus in the autumn.

The wines from Sainte-Croix-du-Mont are similar in style to the more famous wines from Sauternes, south of the river. Similarly to Sauternes, these wines can be kept and age for several decades.
