Tasting Note:

Cheval’s grand vin is like the Petit Cheval plus. Every aspect of this wine is massive and impressive. The bouquet is tightly knit too, but after aeration, there are notes of perfumed fruit, earth, minerals, pencil lead, gravel, salts and forest floor. The palate is tightly packed with crème de mûre, cassis and a hint of dark chocolate. Although powerful and concentrated the wine has a reserved, strict character. A macho, large-scale wine, built entirely on dark fruits, minerals and sumptuous, impressive tannins. 56% Cabernet Franc, 44% Merlot.
