Tasting Note:

The 2013 Cheval Blanc is a blend of 53% Cabernet Franc and 47% Merlot. There are notes of boysenberry, bell pepper, white pepper and roses. It is not a profound Cheval, more a delicate, refined, red fruited style, but it possesses an impressive fruit core; bitter sweet, with notes of blood orange, tayberry and sweet strawberries, this is all about precision, clarity and seductive fruit. There is hidden depth here. The flavours are quite long and are framed by polished tannins.
