Tasting Note:

There is a brooding, earthy mineral theme at Cheval Blanc this vintage. 'Savoury' is certainly a word that springs to mind, in a positive, complex sense. On the nose there are notes of coal dust, cedar, graphite, sweet earth and dark hedgerow berries. The palate offers creamy, crème de mûre fruit; sumptuous, rich and serious - the tannins are gloriously ripe and seductive. A gorgeous Petit Cheval. 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc.
