Château Cissac, Haut Médoc, 2009

  Château Cissac

Château Cissac is consistently one of the best value wines from the Medoc. The estate covers 50 hectares of vines planted with 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot on fine gravel over deep chalk. Harvest took place between the 27th of September and the 17th of October. Classic aromas of cassis fruit, plums, spice, vanilla, cedar wood and pencil shavings are evident on the nose. The palate is packed with rich, silky, soft fruit and just a hint spice. There is beautiful purity of fruit, lovely vibrant acidity and beautifully managed, bone china tannins. This is a serious Haut Medoc that will reward medium term cellaring.

Contains Sulphites.
