Tasting Note:

54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot. This fifth growth estate, just north of the town of Pauillac is very close to both Pontet Canet and Mouton Rothschild. Made by the same wine-making team as Mouton, the d`Armailhac 2008 exhibits many of the same qualities as its bigger brother. Lovely rich fruit pastel notes on the nose, with hints of violets, cherries and mocha. Generous fruit core, packed with tight knit fruits of the forest. A very elegant d`Armailhac with silky tannins and a lovely long, fresh finish.
