Tasting Note:

2002 will be the last for Xavier Borie at Ducru. Due to inheritance laws, he will take over ownership of Château Haut Batailley and Château Grand Puy Lacoste, his brother Bruno will take on Ducru. A massive 82% of Cabernet Sauvignon has gone into the final assemblage resulting in a brooding masculine 2002. Spice, dark chocolate and intense blackcurrant aromas, suave yet firm pure cassis fruit on the palate - lots of potential.
