Tasting Note:

Produced from 58% Merlot, 39% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot, the 2017 Croix de Beaucaillou is packed with extremely sleek black fruit. Notes of crème de cassis, coal, cocoa nibs and Asian spice, there is plenty of lavish dark fruit interspersed with fine gravelly mineral notes. It's not as precise or elegant as Dame de Montrose of Reserve de la Comtesse, but it is an impressive, quite ambitious second wine with plenty of juicy blackcurrant and a fine tannic backbone.
