Château Duhart Milon Rothschild, 4eme Cru Classé, Pauillac, 2013

Tasting Note:

Duhart Milon is a huge step up (from Carruades). Produced from 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot, this has a brooding cool fruit bouquet with notes of crème de cassis, graphite and tobacco. There is ample fruit on the mid palate. Very stylish sweet Cabernet fruit mixes with savoury notes of earth and minerals. There is a firmness and muscularity with wonderful and quite powerful tannins. It is an athletic, mouth-watering style which finishes with long notes of pure cassis. Very good indeed.
