Château Grand Village

Bordeaux Blanc

Grape Variety:

Sauvignon Blanc

Les Champs Libres, 2015

Tasting Note:

A departure from the usual Champs Libres style with 13% Semillon being included in the blend this year. This was not necessarily always the plan, however there is a plot within the estate’s old Semillon vines that the Guinaudeaus always vinify separately. In 2015 it produced three barrels and the quality proved so exceptional that they decided it would add something extra to the Champs Libres. Super intense, so concentrated and complex. Layered, racy, salty flavours. A enormously long and sophisticated wine that brightens the palate with its zesty, but rich flavours of citrus, salt, stone fruit, orange peel, fruit blossom and acacia honey. Such texture but so driven and weightless. Stunning.
