Tasting Note:

This is the second vintage made under the new management of Jean-Charles Cazes and the team at Lynch Bages, and it's a big step up on the 2017. This really is rather handsome. It certainly has a resemblance to the old wines of Xavier Borie with that lovely classicism, but there is a little more precision and concentration. It's all rather appealing. Pure floral cassis, quite cool and austere with great energy and delineation. The core is packed with lush purple fruit, dark berries, gravel and stones, and ripe saline, lacy tannins. 59% Cabernet Sauvignon and 41% Merlot.
