Tasting Note:

A Great Haut-Brion, the best since 2000, that shows a higher percentage of Cabernet Franc than usual (19%) the rest of the blend being made up of 61% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Very deep garnet with purple glints. Medium-pronounced nose of thick-skinned blackberry fruit and minerals, replicated on the palate. Very stylish and classy indeed, with very well managed tannins. The Cabernets at Haut-Brion were all picked before the October rains, and this shows clearly in the colour and richness of this wine. Very good.
