Tasting Note:

Produced from 36.5% Merlot, 21.5% Cabernet Franc and 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2016 Chapelle de la Mission is rather gorgeous. Initially quite brooding, with some coaxing, the glorious bouquet of lead pencil, cut flowers, cassis, dark cherry, herbs, menthol and wild strawberry. There is wonderfully dark gravelly fruit on the palate and long stony tannins. There is real tension and fluidity - a sumptuous and seriously smart Chapelle!
