Tasting Note:

This wine doesn't require much selling; it is just about the most sought after wine every campaign, but the quality of Carruades is getting better and better. We honestly believe that Forts de Latour, Carruades de Lafite, Petit Mouton, Pavillon Rouge and Clarence de Haut Brion are all the finest examples to date. Classic Pauillac bouquet of cut flowers, pencil shavings, cool cassis and delicate minerals; reserved, but less so that Duhart and Lafite. On the palate there is ample sweet black fruit including notes of blackcurrant fruit pastels. Awash with silky fruit, muscled, sinewy, intense; this possesses great texture and a lifted classical finish. 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42.5% Merlot, 2.4%Petit Verdot and 5.1% Cabernet Franc.
