Tasting Note:

83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc. Aromatically on a different level (to Duhart) notes of truffle, licorice, inky black fruits, violets and seaweed. Sweet black fruit attack. A really stylish powerful offering with notes of blackcurrants and graphite. The finish is silky smooth and long. This is not to say the wine lacks structure, there's plenty of power and acidity as well as well managed tannins. This is a stunning, linear Lafite with plenty of muscle and intensity, but little fat. A really wonderful Lafite in the classic Pauillac style.
