Tasting Note:

A wine that cost 50% more to produce than normal due to the tremendous efforts in the vineyard to bring in ripe clean fruits, during what Frédéric Engerer described as a “muddy and moody” vintage. A real powerhouse of wine with a nose of dense dark fruit aromas of classic blackcurrant and blackberry that is closed at present but at the same time shows remarkable purity of fruit. The texture is remarkably rich and silky with the taste of sea salt terroir – precise dark berry fruit compôte that finishes with big tannic structure and great length.
