Tasting Note:

Jean-Charles Cazes' operation in St Estephe continues to go from strength to strength. Produced from 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot, this is very St Estephe with just a hint of Pauillac polish. A deeply mineral bouquet offers up hints of flowers, spice and dark fruit. The palate is awash with seductive fruit and gravelly notes. The tannins are anything but rustic; this has a charming, refined structure and finishes with pure cassis and spice. Sure to be one of the best value buys from the Medoc.
