Tasting Note:

This well situated St Estephe property, were Hubert de Bouard is the consultant oenologist was one of our best value picks in 2014. We tasted the 2015 in St Emilion amongst some opulent offerings. The conditions in St Estephe proved a stark contrast to the ripeness on the right bank. There is a sinewy toughness to the 2015 Meyney. Classic Cabernet flavours of cool cassis and tea leaves emerge from the glass. The palate is chewy, with wild berry notes and bittersweet flavours of Sanguinello orange. It will require time, but it should develop into a classic cassis scented northern Medoc.
