Tasting Note:

Dame de Montrose represents 29% of the production in 2012 and is crafted from 76% Merlot and 24% Cabernet Sauvignon. Herve Beland explained that the maceration period was exceptionally long. They felt this was necessary to 'extract the quintessence of the vintage' from the thick grape skins. There is an interesting bouquet of plum liqueur, bitter chocolate, gravel and earth. This is cool and composed with a lovely dark fruit core and refined tannic finish.
