Tasting Note:

51% Merlot, 41% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot. The 2008 Palmer exhibits a classically exuberant and flamboyant nose of fruit pastels, licorice, cassis and liqueur. The palate offers a dense core of pure, silky fruit; this is not a blockbuster Palmer, but that is why we like it so much. It is built on the lines of elegance and finesse. A really complete package in a vintage that has proved a challenge to the Margaux commune. A cool, pure, sexy wine with beautifully supple tannins and wonderfully fresh acidity.
