Tasting Note:

Sadly, Ch Palmer was affected by the hail storms in May 2009. This reduced the potential crop size and the estate has only achieved yields of 34hl/ha. The wine itself is sensational. A truly decadent, voluptuous Palmer. Deep purple colour, with notes of chocolate, baked figs, sloes, griotte liqueur, cut herbs, fruits of the forest, truffle and high toned flowers. The palate is wonderfully voluptuous and velvety with lashings of ripe dark cherries, svelte blackberries as well as a mineral complexity too. This is a composed temptress; alluring, luxurious, complex and utterly delicious. 41% Cabernet Sauvignon, 52% Merlot and 7% Petit Verdot.
