Tasting Note:

Quantities of Le Dome will be down considerably due to the hail, which affected some 20% of the vineyard. The damaged grapes were picked on Monday 6th September with the remainder being picked on 15th September. The final blend will have more Merlot than normal 35% with 65% Cabernet Franc. The bramble and blackthorn aromas are followed by a hammer blow of dense, powerful herb, cigar and blackcurrant fruit. The tannins are fine grained and the Cabernet Franc gives extra backbone and complexity. Very fine indeed.
