Tasting Note:

Jacques didn't release his 2013 Le Pin en primeur and there is still some conjecture as to what will become of it. Apparently there were just two barrels produced, so it may just be released on the Belgian market. Anyway, for us it was the first barrel sample from Le Pin since the 2012 and what a return to form. This is Decadent with a capital D, a truly expressive and glorious example which is possibly a little more corpulent than usual. Naturally there were a few mentions of Richebourg - the flavour profile is so complex and alluring one really needs to look towards the Vosne Grand Crus for a reference point. As always, one of the most expressive and seductive wines we taste with dramatic and defined high-toned flavours - gloriously alive and vivid and with such a sense of harmony and purity. Spectacular!
