Tasting Note:

Floral, aromatic and seductive from the off. Incredibly sensual round and high-toned Gevrey but with a bit more grunt and sinew than is usually the case. The fruit is cherry and strawberry-orientated, the texture is velvety. A lifting, harmonious wine whose finesse belies its underlying power and complexity. Very serious Cazetiers. A first rate Gevrey Premier Cru vineyard high up on the slope next door to Clos St Jacques, whilst there is a similar aromatic quality to the wines of its neighbour the taste profile is very different, with suaver, rounder fruit coming from the white clay soils found here in this limestone-influenced parcel in the upper part of the vineyard.
