Tasting Note:

One of the later wines in the cellar to finish malo this is of course a little more youthful than the Vaudenelles but nevertheless there’s an impressive brightness to it. A wonderful clarity of fruit, with complex touches of briar and salt alongside fine berry and hedgerow fruit. A fine, firm tannic spine combined with a wonderful energy. Great persistence too. Those with the patience to lay this down for a few years will be amply rewarded. A first rate Marsannay vineyard planted on poor soil, situated mid slope, that is one of the prime candidates for elevation to Premier Cru status, a process Marsannay vignerons have got well under way. Fermented with 30% whole bunches and aged in predominantly used oak barrels.
