Tasting Note:

A tighter more coiled style of Meursault. Quiet and brooding at first, the firm orchard and citrus fruit and intensely savoury dimension of rocks, salt and crushed herb gradually unwind, developing into notes of honeysuckle. There is crunch and sapidity to the ripe fruit and a pleasingly crisp, dry finish. Impressively intense and balanced. A very well-situated Monopole lieu dit from the mid-slope, on the same level as Perrieres, that shows more intensity and precision than most Meursault villages. Aged for 15 months in 35% new oak.
