Tasting Note:

A cleansing savoury Corton Charlemagne imbued with smoky nutty aromas, a hint of flinty reduction and saline and umami notes on the palate. There’s enough flesh to give this a certain gravitas, and real persistence. In 2021 de Montille team took a little more lees than normal to barrel to help nourish the wine. Very good. From behind Pougets, a mid-slope, south, south-east facing vineyard of 35 years old, aged in a mixture of small barriques and larger demi-muid barrels to minimise oak influence.
