Tasting Note:

Ethereal, minerally, wild red berry fruits with a chalky tannic structure. Complex but reserved. There is a coiled energy here, a tight-wound
wine with lots of potential. Fresh fruit, herbs, stone and undergrowth. A wine of sinew and nerve. From the iron-rich ‘Bas’ part of the vineyard
considered the prime part of Rugiens. The vines are fifty five years-old. Fermented with a third whole bunches and aged in 40% new oak.
