Tasting Note:

A cuvee that is fermented only with whole bunches, due to the small super ripe berries this vineyard produces every year. Full bodied, corpulent and gripping with sturdy tannins coating the palate. Alongside the muscular body and ripe rich forest berry fruit there is a certain tension and fresh herbal quality that give balance to the wine. De Montille's vines in Mitans are 55-60 years old; they produce tiny (millerande) berries every year that are highly concentrated. The grapes and bunches ripen very well most years so this often is fermented with a lot of whole bunches.
