Tasting Note:

A serious Pouilly-Fuissé from 60 year-old vines in Vergisson. Jean Jacques Litaud used much less oak for this cuvée in 2017, only 30% was aged in barrel, the rest in tank. A step up in finesse from the St.-Vérans, there is a hint of background, smoky oak complementing the main scene - pretty, sweetly-scented yellow plum and orchard fruit. There is a certain substance here of course, but there is tone and elegance to the flavours. Intense and full enough without being remotely clumsy, demonstrated by the well-defined, clean finish.
