Tasting Note:

In a word, exquisite. Such panache and style, but with plenty in reserve, too. Fine, bright ripe fruit flavours of small red berry and plum. Silky and tactile, ripe but not lacking freshness finishing on that incredibly expansive (peacock’s tail) finish that all the great Grand Crus have. From three parcels, the great Les Cruots (much beloved by Henri Jayer,) Clos St.-Denis and Champs Traversins, making this a lively and bright, elegant style of Echézeaux.
