Morey St Denis, Trilogie, 2016

Tasting Note:

As the name suggests Trilogie is a blend of three parcels (Chenevery, Clos Solon, and Porroux.) The vines are old (having been planted between 1936 and 1972) and are situated on the edge of the Premiers Crus. These old vines from poor soils produce coloured, intense villages wines. Dense, rounded dark berry fruits with a hint of cherry. Full and robust, this is a different kettle of fish to the estate's other Morey villages - Tres Girard - and will require a great deal more patience.
