A stunning Burgundy that shows the great potential of Morey to produce top tier Burgundy. Deep serious flavours wrapped in a velvety cloak. Dense black cherry, damson and slightly spiced bramble fruit with more than a hint of savoury undergrowth, stone and mineral characteristics. A wonderful mix of high and low notes, floral, dark but vivid with a grounding earthiness set in a gripping but suave tannic framework. Compact and deep but long and lifted on the finish - this has it all. This is the Domaine's mythical cuvee that comes from a single parcel that sits across two single vineyards just below Clos de la Roche, Farconnieres and Chenevery, planted in 1936, 1947 and 1952.
