Tasting Note:

Intense and compact, salted citrus rind fruit, more voluptuous than Garenne and certainly rounder, but nonetheless incredibly mineral and tense through the mid-palate whilst notes of crushed rocks, wet pebble and sea salt dominate the palate with overtones of citrus blossom, honey and faint liquorice spice touches. At 17 hectares, this is the largest Premier Cru in Puligny and also the most archetypal, you could argue. Sauzet’s parcel comes from the highest part of Folatières, where the wines can be at their rockiest and most mineral.
