Tasting Note:

More stature and body than the Folatières, as you would expect from a Grand Cru, but it presents itself on the palate in a typically noble Genot-Boulanger way. Expanding gently and slowly with notes of melting butter, yellow fruit and orange blossom honey. Generous, mouth-filling and intense whilst managing to keep its cool and poise. This is from a small parcel of 0.29ha in "Le Charlemagne" that was planted in 1940, facing south-west. The soils here are marney limestone, shallow and with a stony topsoil.
