Tasting Note:

Closed initially, this needs coaxing somewhat but its fantastic balance and strength is immediately obvious. Powerful but with definition and nerve. Ripe stone fruit with a Sicilian lemon edge, a hint of nectarine and floral violet notes, too. Most impressive in its youth but there is more to come from this. A vineyard plot on the Chassagne-Montrachet side, planted on brown limestone and clay soils with some broken stones in the upper part of the vineyard. A gentle slope results in good drainage. The exposure to the sun is an ideal south to south-east.
