Tasting Note:

A glorious Clos des Mouches that floods the senses with spicy, sun-kissed but bright fruit. Poised as well as broad, there is more energy and detail here than we can ever remember tasting in Clos de Mouches. Notes of orange and lemon blossom lift the ripe, textured fruit and a wood spice note adds complexity and roundness to the long, clear finish. Drouhin’s flagship vineyard, half of which is planted Chardonnay and half to Pinot Noir. Situated mid-slope with a fine east and south east exposure, producing intense, spicy, round wines. Ageing is for 15 months in 25% new oak barrels.
