Vosne Romanée, Les Chaumes, 1er Cru, 2019

Tasting Note:

Hearty and corpulent in Chaumes' best traditions, but a particularly expressive and lively version, commendable for its high definition flavours and soft texture. There is a tannic grip but this is more than polished enough to allow the fruit to flow freely. Aromatic sloe, damson, cherry and red berries flood the taste buds with a hint of ground sweet spice, adding some depth to the finish. One of the lower lying Vosne Premiers Crus, Chaumes produces very broad, ripe, plump wines.
