Tasting Note:

A seductive mix of the graceful qualities you find in Philippe's Chaumee together with the fuller character of his Vergers. The soils are clay dominant with some big rocks in the middle of the vineyard. A little closed and quiet at first, white fruits reveal themselves with a little aeration. Powerful, intense and textured but relatively discrete notes of stone and spice add dimension to the buttery texture and the peach-citrus fruit mix. Though a little guarded at first, this is clearly a smart and very nicely proportioned Chassagne.
