Tasting Note:

More closed and brooding than Groffier's other wines. Very intricately woven and soft-textured tannins. Pure silk. Noble, suave flavours of loganberry, bramble and raspberry with a salty note. Beneath the primary fruit this has a dark and surly side, but the wine slowly expands and expresses itself with air. From an 80-year-old parcel of vines. Fermentation is all whole-bunch. Being a small cuvée it is aged exclusively in new wooden barrels.
