Tasting Note:

A warmer feel to it than the Hauts Doix but with equally noble tannins. Enveloping and expansive flavours. Small black and red berry fruit with a hint of sloe and spice. Hearty, fulsome and rich but not lacking style or charm. Some lovely curves here, this is not a particularly racy wine but the dense ripe fruit is clear and bright enough to keep you coming back for more. A parcel of 80-year-old vines situated below Bonnes Mares planted on iron-rich clay soils giving full, structured wines. All fermented with whole bunches and ageing in 25% new wood.
