Tasting Note:

Bright and beaming, with energetic acidity, plenty of zip and crisp saline minerality. Absolutely pure, no hint of reduction, meyer lemon, citrus rind, lively and driving. This is at the racy and lacy end of the spectrum, but very pure and direct with a driving finish. As it sits in the glass notes of white flowers, vétiver, lemon zest, Jasmine and salty toasted nuts appear. Another top-quality vineyard, this time situated in the north eastern corner of the Santa Rita Hills, on predominantly sandy soils. You're roughly 8 miles from the ocean here, at an altitude of 350 ft. The resulting wines tend to be more mineral and tauter than those from Sandford and Benedict. Ryan's first vintage here was 2011.
