Tasting Note:

Smoky, irony, fine red berries on nose, a tightly wound Trailside that requires some hours to unfurl. When it does a very those savoury stony herbal notes a joined by floral, crisp dark berry fruit aromas and then a sense of graphite and notes of the famous Rutherford dust. As it hits the palate a bright spark of acidity lights up the small mineral soaked red berry fruits, touches of sage and sappy cassis and salt over savoury herbal notes. Give this a decade or more and this should emerge as a wine of great transparency and crackling historic Napa character. Feels like a heritage wine.
