Tasting Note:

A bold, joyous, uplifting rosé parading aromas of orange zest, fresh rose and crisp peach layered with complex notes of rosehip, fennel and faint warm cinnamon spice. The boldness of the vintage is matched by the boldness of the Pinot fruit, with bright red berry and citrus notes dominating a palate that is surprisingly well sprung, with real precision, freshness and salinity through the finish. There’s no hint of the almondy bitterness than can betray the warmth of 2009. A great success that would be as happy alongside Pigeon, as it would be on its own. 64% Pinot Noir, 36% Chardonnay, with 7% Coteaux Champenois from the Valofroy lieu dit, the highest plot in the Clos. Dosage 4.5g/l. Disgorged in March 2020. Just 2508 bottles produced.
