Tasting Note:

A glorious release, complex and deep. There’s plenty of signature spicy fruit, peaches, a touch of fresh honey, and complex black pepper notes on the finish. Fresh, layered and vinous, with a little bit of grip, that is a signifier of the vintage. This year, around half the cuvee was vinified in oak barrels, a slight increase on the norm. A blend of 70% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay, disgorged in February 2022 after 7 years sur lie, with just 4.25 grams of dosage. The fruit for this cuvee centres around Pinot Noir from the lieu-dit of Le Leon in Ay, alongside Pinot Noir from Mailly and Chardonnay from Verzy.
