Grape Type:

Les Pierrieres, Blanc de Blancs, Extra Brut (Base 2015, Disgorged March 2019), NV

Tasting Note:

Racy and precise, Pierrieres is a particularly mineral cuvee that hails from grapes grown on a Coteau du Petit Morin vineyard that is comprised of Silex (black flint) and chalk with very little top soil. Explosive, but very fine, this explodes across the palate with flavours of white flowers and citrus fruit before firming up into nuanced stony notes as it zips across the palate. Tonic, energetic and mouth-wateringly detailed, despite considerable depth and concentration. Fermented and aged in barrels and foudre, with no malo except for partial malo on the taille. Disgorged in March 2019 with 1.7 grams of dosage. The blend is composed of 40% 2015 and 60% reserve wines from 2014.
