Tasting Note:

Fine delicate floral and chalk notes, a certain smokiness, and some pear and lemon zest. 'We like it to be vertical and linear' said Gaelle Goossens- and it is, but on release it comes across as austere with strident acidity illuminating citrus and white fruit. It really tastes like the majority of the blend is northern Montagne de Reims Pinot Noir, which is it is this year. Very saline and crisp with almonds on the finish, freshness and plenty of detail. This to us is Pinot but with an almost Blanc de Blancs character. Clearly needs some time to relax and flesh out. A blend of 90% pinot noir from Verzy, Verzenay, Ambonnay, Ay and Bouzy. Bottled with 6 grams dosage.
