Domaine du Pegau new releases
From small beginnings in the early eighties to becoming one of the most cherished of Rhône labels, Pegau has built up an incredibly impressive and loyal following over the last three decades. Times may have changed but Pegau has remained resolutely traditional, whilst the popularitity of their wines has grown exponentially.
The result of whole bunch field blends fermented in cement and then aged in large old wooden foudres, with Grenache at its core, Pegau straddles that fine line between personality and finesse. At its best it is characterful and steeped in terroir whilst offering a distinct nobility. Nowhere is that more evident than in the new release 2013, a late-ripening and impossibly small crop that has yielded a thrilling wine of verve and authenticity. This offer also sees the much anticipated release of 2011 Cuvée Laurence. A single foudre selection of Cuvée Reservée aged for two more years in cask, made only in vintages that are deemed worthy by dynamic owner Laurence Feraud. Rarely more than 500 cases are produced in any one of the chosen years.
The wines are currently abroad and will be shipped in January 2016
