The 2025 Beauregard was cropped at just 23 hl/ha between September 2 and 19, with 40% matured in new oak for a planned 16 to 18 months, 20% in 500-litre casks. It has a perfumed, quite floral bouquet, with pressed rose petals infusing the red berry fruit, just a hint of potpourri in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannins, nicely focused, but it needs a little more flesh and rondeur in the second half. A little peppery towards the finish, hopefully this will just fill out during its barrel maturation. I was expecting a bit more here.

Depth and power to the colour, delicious peony floral aromatics that need time in the glass to unroll and curl upwards alongside cool blue fruit and a gunpowder smoke. Fairly austere at this earn stage, reflective on the high Cabernet in the blend. 3.65 pH. 23 hl/ha. 40% new oak, Olivier Boissière consultant in the vineyards only. Lauren Laudrin first full year as director.
